A clear UK CV starts with the essentials
Start with your name, a professional email address, a phone number and a relevant location. Make it easy for a recruiter to contact you.
Use a short summary to explain the type of work you do and the experience you bring. Avoid a long list of adjectives: specific responsibilities and skills are more useful.
For each role, include your job title, employer and dates. Write concise bullets about what you did and the outcome. Only include numbers you can support.
Keep a master CV with your full history. Create a separate copy for each application and prioritise the experience relevant to that role. Review spelling, contact information and the final exported pages before sending.
