Your information. Your control.
This notice explains how ResumeStation.io uses personal information when you browse, create career documents or participate in our forum.

Who is responsible
The website operator identified above is responsible for the personal information used to run ResumeStation. This notice covers our service; linked employers, recruitment websites and sign-in providers have their own privacy notices.
Information we use
- Account identifiers, email and an optional display name supplied by the sign-in provider.
- CV details, work history, education, skills, letters, application notes and job preferences you choose to save.
- Forum questions, replies, a generated member alias and reports submitted to the owner.
- Previously unlocked job IDs may remain in account history. There is no application-link trial limit during free access.
- Job-search terms and the location you enter; we do not need your live device location.
- Subscription identifiers and status when payments are enabled. Payment details are entered with Stripe; this application does not store full card numbers.
- Technical request and security information handled by our hosting and service providers.
Do not include patient or service-user records, passport numbers or unnecessary health, immigration-document or other sensitive information in CV prompts or forum posts.
Why we use it
We use account and career information to provide the workspace and features you request, and subscription information to administer the service contract. We use security records and reports for our legitimate interests in preventing abuse, protecting accounts and operating the forum. Legal obligations may require retaining specified transaction records. We do not use CV information to make employment or visa decisions about you.
AI and job searches
ResumeStation AI is our writing assistant, powered by Google Gemini. When you request an AI action, your selected CV or job text is sent to Google Gemini to generate a response. Public Gemini requests use a billing-enabled project. Google states that prompts and responses under its Paid Services terms are not used to improve its products; security and abuse-monitoring records may still be retained. If the owner selects OpenAI, requests use store:false. Avoid submitting sensitive information. You can edit manually without requesting AI. Job searches send the query and location to the connected job-data provider, currently Reed; optional providers are used only when configured. If an approved Indeed placement is enabled, choosing Load Indeed jobs connects your browser to Indeed and shares the search and browser information needed to display its listings, under Indeed’s privacy policy. ResumeStation does not send your saved CV or account details with these searches.
Who receives information
OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure support the website and saved data. Google Gemini, or the AI provider named before a request, handles enabled AI requests. Stripe handles enabled checkout and billing. Authentication is provided through Google sign-in. ResumeStation receives your Google account name and verified email address to create and protect your account; it does not receive your Google password. Employers receive information you submit through their application process. An Apply link does not automatically send your CV.
Forum visibility
Editorial starter Q&As are public. New posts labelled Public can be read without an account and may be indexed or copied by others. Older posts created for signed-in members remain restricted to that audience. Replies follow their question’s visibility. We display a member alias instead of your account email. Reports are visible to the owner. Removing a post here cannot remove copies already made elsewhere.
Storage, security and retention
Saved workspaces are linked to your account. CV file parsing happens in your browser; original imported files are not uploaded by that parser. A temporary draft may be retained in the current browser tab to recover interrupted work. Provider API keys are stored separately from public pages and are used on the server.
Saved CVs remain until you delete them. Forum posts remain until you or the owner remove them. Workspace deletion does not delete forum posts, reset the free application allowance or cancel a subscription. We retain the two unlocked job identifiers with your account to administer that allowance; contact the operator to request account erasure. Billing records held by Stripe and provider backups or security records follow their applicable retention requirements. We do not promise immediate deletion from every provider backup. The operator must confirm applicable provider retention schedules and transfer safeguards as part of finalising this notice.
International processing
Service providers may process information outside the UK. The operator must assess the providers’ processing locations, contractual protections and any required UK transfer safeguards. This notice does not claim that all information stays in the UK.
Cookies and browser storage
The service uses account/session functionality and browser storage needed for the workspace. When configured, optional Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics. It measures visits to selected public pages. We do not send CV content, account identifiers, search queries or application answers as analytics events. Advertising features are disabled. You may decline or withdraw consent using Cookie preferences. Your choice is stored in this browser; declining does not restrict the service. Google processes analytics information, including device and network information, under its privacy terms.
Your choices and rights
Use Settings to export or delete your saved workspace, and Delete on your forum posts to remove them. Contact the operator above to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or to object where applicable. Rights depend on the circumstances and legal basis. We may need to verify your identity. You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
This service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Changes to this notice will be dated here; material changes will be explained before the affected new use where required.
