What makes a useful professional summary?

Answer from the ResumeStation team

Tell the reader what kind of work you’ve done and what you can bring to this role. A few specific lines about your setting, responsibilities and strengths are more useful than a list of words like ‘passionate’ and ‘hardworking’. Make sure the rest of your CV backs it up.

General career information. Immigration and employment circumstances vary; use current official guidance and qualified advice for individual decisions. Never share confidential care records here.

What would you add?

Keep it kind and stick to what you know. Leave out residents’ details, private documents, contact details and allegations that identify someone. Replies reflect members’ experiences, not verified professional advice. Posts use a member alias and appear before moderation. For urgent help, use the appropriate emergency or safeguarding service.
